Personal Statement Highly experienced biologist with a great passion for and a strong expertise in immunology, mainly the investigation of antibody glycosylation patterns in the context of autoimmunity and inflammation. Extensive experience in clinical and therapeutic research including stem cell biology, infectious diseases, immunodeficiencies, cytotoxic defects, characterization of B cells and plasma cells known for their role in antibody production and immunological memory.

Major goals:
  • Discovering new scientific and therapeutic approaches in order to ameliorate inflammatory processes in patients suffering from autoimmune and infectious diseases.
  • Monitoring changes in (pathogenic) antibody glycosylation patterns in order to predict upcoming flares in inflammatory diseases.
