Position Description:

We are a well-established market leader in the immune monitoring field seeking a reliable Building Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities Maintenance team to help maintain our buildings and properties. Under the direction of the Building Manager, the Building Maintenance Technician will assist with performing preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, structures, and systems throughout our buildings. The ideal Building Maintenance Technician is someone who is mechanically inclined, follows written and verbal instructions, and has a strong work ethic.

As the Building Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the following:

Performing maintenance repair work in one or more of the following areas: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry
Responding to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion
Performing quality checks on air conditioning, heating systems, plumbing and electrical systems
Documenting and maintaining records of work performed and inspections made pursuant to departmental processes
Replacing light bulbs and repairing light fixtures as needed
Changing furnace and air conditioner filters and belts
Performing remodeling tasks including painting walls
Keeping maintenance area adequately stocked with tools and supplies
Removing snow from parking lots and walkways using snow plow truck and snow blower

Position Qualifications:

Minimum of three years of experience in maintenance or related field
High school diploma required; technical certifications preferred
Valid driver’s license
Ability to lift machinery and/or equipment up to 100 pounds on a regular basis
Tow Motor License preferred; but not required
Basic math skills
Ability to perform tasks under adverse weather conditions
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software
