Laboratory Technician II

Research and Development Department

Position Description:

We are a well-established market leader in the immune monitoring field and are seeking an experienced and highly ambitious Laboratory Technician II to join our growing Research and Development (R&D) team. This is an opportunity to become a part of a dynamic team that investigates antibody glycosylation patterns in the context of inflammation and infectious diseases.

As the Laboratory Technician II you will be responsible for:

  • Performing experimental studies including planning, organizing and performing daily project protocols
  • Developing and performing immunological assays in order to establish new protocols to decipher antibody glycosylation patterns
  • Handling and working with human sera with appropriate training
  • Gathering data from analysis and assays, preparing and providing graphs and statistical tables for presentations and discussions to the research supervisor for final analysis
  • Literature searches and training students
  • Ordering supplies as well as the maintenance and upkeep of the lab

Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree (Master’s Degree a plus) in the biological sciences
  • At least two years’ experience in a research or related laboratory environment
  • Knowledge of laboratory maintenance
  • Experience with cell culture, with cell lines (is a plus), with cell biology techniques ELISA, ELISpot (is a plus) Western Blot, FACS analysis
  • Teamwork, dedication and passion are key
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
