Engineering Intern (Summer 2025)

Position Description:

Cellular Technology Limited (CTL), in Shaker Heights, OH is looking for an Engineering Intern for the Summer of 2025 to work with our R&D Hardware team as support for our Quality Management System documentation. The internship will begin May 2025 through August 2025 (start and end dates are flexible). As the Engineering Intern, you will focus on documentation of current and new processes for production, documentation of existing components, including CAD assemblies, parts, drawings, and data management within the company’s Product Data Management (PDM) system. You may also support lab departments with 3D printing needs.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Creating CAD Assemblies and Engineering Drawings using SolidWorks
• Inputting product data into PDM
• Collaborating with Production and R&D Hardware to create Work Instructions
• Updating current Work Instructions to match Productions process
• Validating written Work Instructions to ensure they can be followed and are repeatable

Position Qualifications:

• Have completed at least 2 years of B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Experience using SolidWorks (required)
• Experience creating Engineering Drawings in SolidWorks (preferred)
• Experience with 3D printing (preferred)
• Experience with GD&T (preferred)
• Strong technical writing skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Must commute to our offices in Shaker Heights, OH, Monday through Friday
